My London | The Sky Garden + Darwin's Brasserie

If you're looking for a great spot to eat in London, I've got a special place for you. The newly opened 20 Fenchurch has an amazing SkyGarden located on the top of the skyscraper giving gorgeous views of the city below.

With a garden theme in the SkyPod Bar, the wide space feels like an unlikely merge, but you'll love it. With great seating areas, a pretty bar covered in greenery and florals, and a live band playing during the evenings all set against panoramic views of London... it's hard to beat.

To get in, you have to queue downstairs until its your turn. If you have reservations for dining, you can by pass the line (phew!) and head up to the elevators after you go through security.

Beyond the popular bar on the 35th floor, there are two restaurant, Fenchurch and Darwin Brasserie, that sit on the 36th and 37th floors overlooking the city and scene below.

Tyler pulled a smooth move and somehow landed us with day-of reservations at Darwin Brasserie. It was a really fun experience, and I can't wait to go back again for a date night with just the two of us. The menu isn't huge, but it covers everything you might want ranging from Asparagus Risotto with Black Truffle (delicious!), Fish & Chips, a delicate Lemon Sole and their most popular item on the menu, the House Burger.

For some (obvious) reason, a burger seemed like the right fit for the night, so I ordered one for myself. It comes with bacon, cheese and all the classic toppings. When it arrived, I was pleased but not overwhelmed with how it looked... but upon taking a bite, I was a big fan.

Portions are very generous and the prices are reasonable. Entrees were around £16, desserts are all £7.50 and drinks around £12.

The cocktail list is creative and impressive- but the bartenders are happy to whip you up something custom or create a nonalcoholic version of a listed drink.

Desserts are amazing. Our table got the Knickerbockerglory (a giant ice cream parfait) and the rhubarb crumble. I opted for a giant latte, which arrived in my favorite Bodum glasses.

Reservations can be tricky, so book early! Or skip the heavy crowds and book breakfast at Darwins where you can eat the Creme Brûlée Yogurt & Berries while watching the sun rise over the city.

This place is special, so make sure you grab a table for your trip to London or your next night on the town.
